I hold a Ph.D. in Information and Media (Michigan State University, 2026).

Currently, I research & teach as an Oberassistent (postdoc) with UZH, and serve as a Research Fellow with the Quello Center.

focuses on the relationships between rural students’ academic achievement/social networks and their access, use, and skillsets related to digital technologies.

Primarily, I study how such relationships may be limited by or framed within the field of digital inequalities.

Also experienced in qualitative methods, primarily concerning adolescents' digital media use at home and in public, including:

  • In-depth interviewing
  • Ethnography/observational methods

When not working on research or teaching, I enjoy marathon running, listening to podcasts (mostly while running), taking fotos (preferably on 35mm film), and spending time outside.
